A quiet space for drawing & togetherness

International Drawing Residency is hosted annually by artists Emma Fält and Angie Brew in the Finnish countryside.

Taking place at Niemelä House in Nerohvirta Village, this small residency invites artists, researchers, and creative practitioners interested in drawing practices to spend five days working, reflecting, and sharing within a supportive community.

Surrounded by forests and lakes, the residency offers time and space for both independent creative work and collective exchange. The programme includes drawing and listening workshops led by Fält and Brew, as well as opportunities to share practices, engage in conversation, and connect with nature through swimming, forest walks, and harvesting.

The residency accommodates 7-10 participants, creating an intimate environment for focused work and dialogue.
